Oh the memories...

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Okay...I have a terrible memory of details but I do remember hanging out with you and Derek and Owen and Sarah alot, you seemed so shy to me then. Doing your hair in the kitchen at my old house AND I the fun group trip to Young, before we all had kids. We have all grown up so much
...oh "the good old days":)

When my mom sold you MY piano light at her yard sale...and how awkward it was when I found out...in front of you. And then you said you would give it to me as a wedding gift:) But you actually ended up giving it to me earlier than that, I guess it took to long for me to find a man.

Then when you showed up at my door with a precious owl in hand, for me!

Well...like we discussed, we didn't have quite the amount of quality time before you got married, but I still do have some pretty fun memories of you, and we're making more all the time!

From growing up, I really didn't play with you and Candice all that much; I was more interested in GI Joes and Legos, and when I would play with you guys, you would only let me have the straight arm Ken Barbie, so I didn't want to play with you. :) I also remember you being INCREDIBLY neat and tidy and your room was always so so clean. I wondered how you kept it so spotless all the time. Your other expertise was the laundry...I remember that mom always had you on laundry duty.

I also remember when you went away to BYU/UVSC for a summer and fall semester, and we exchanged some pretty funny emails. I came across them the other day and had a good laugh. I'll have to show them to you sometime.

Other random memories: you laughing til you cry (it's so funny!); my friends thinking that you were the quiet, reserved type when really, they just don't know you very well :); your phobia of scorpions; you still weighing less than me even when you're pregnant; I hand my clothes down to you when they're too small for me; you always paid me generously when I would do projects for you or watch your kids (you knew I was a poor college student and needed all the help I could get!); grocery store trips; Target trips; eating out; lunch dates; and last but not least...no one being able to tell our voices apart when we talk on the phone - we all sound the same!

Okay - a couple of things... I remember when we were younger spending HOURS playing with barbies. Man, our plot lines got really extravagant!

I also like to remember high school and the nights that we just hung out alone. We would drive around in your Mustang (because we were so hot in it) and look for boys. We would car dance and sing at the top of lungs. Good times.

Since 90% of our childhood was spent playing Barbies, i'll start there.

*cutting Peaches and Cream's hair to make her look like cindy lauper

*saying "Ding doooo-ooong!" to simulate the doorbell

*sitting on Heather and Briann's barbie clothes so when they left we added a few new items to our barbie wardrobe

*getting barbies taken away because of "the roll"

*telling you it wasn't really your birthday yet because i was jealous

*always being "pretty ladies" for halloween, 7 years in a row

*shopping endorphins

*trying on wedding dresses and taking pictures in the dressing rooms

*going through mom's drawers

*girls trips

*grandma olive's closet and makeup

*filling books with wallpaper samples and planning our dream homes

*babysitting for helquists and falling asleep... when they woke us up at the end of the night and we stood to go home, a dozen airhead candies falling out of your boxers

this barely skims the surface...

That time in San Diego when we went on that dinner cruise was really fun. I remember going to a small girls night out right before you and Derek got married and Spencer and I were just dating, I think you were mad at Derek. Many a lovely shopping trip, which I would really like to add to those memories. This is a fun game!

Hmm... let's see here. So many to choose from. I list a few:

1. Getting yelled at by your Mom. :) Sorry Kay.

2. Sitting on your Barbie clothes, then hastily stuffing them in my shirt or pockets when you weren't looking. We were all little criminals.

3. Always wishing my mom would cut my PB&J sandwiches in triangles.

4. Going swimming in your pool & putting the rings around our ankles to pretend we were mermaids.

5. Coveting your tan skin. Where'd that go? :)

6. Happily accepting all forms of your generous "gift" giving.

7. Many a-shopping trips.

8. MEXICO!

9. You, me & Candy's conversations always leading to "Debbie the Downer" stories. What's wrong with us?

10. Tanner Sherwood. Ha ha...

well, as little as we talk these days-it is hard to believe we actually have a ton of memories together when we were little. there are so many but i will only name a few....

-roller skating for hours on end and you getting stuck in the hose.

-9th grade seminary bathroom with out of control laughter for no reason.

-you always wishing my mom was your mom because she didnt scream at me as much as yours did.

-kelli is right about the laundry thing...when i was over, i would always have to help fold it with you.

-endless calls to scott fuller in your basement

-getting in trouble for our "bad" notes to each other in junior high

-loving when shawna would babysit your family cause it always meant we could have a sleep over

-all our twin outfits and how we would plan to wear them on the same day.

thats just a few of them :)

Sorry, I forgot your personal email, so I thought I'd get a hold of you in your comments:) For swim lessons...starting Tues. Aug. 12, and we can do all your 3 kids in one class if that makes it easier for you, since they are around the same age it would work just fine. Classes are Tues./Thurs. 30 min.each day and their class will be at 10am. The cost for all 3 would be $120 for the 3 week session. Let me know what you think! And if you guys have other things going on in the mornings, let me know what a good time for you is, since I have only little ones this last session and the times are fairly flexibe:) Thanks!! :)
