How much is that dog in the window?

Here's the dog that's responsible for these...

Yep- puppies. Shadow had them last night and we keep the dogs in the garage to sleep so we didn't know until this morning. She had 6, but sadly, 3 didn't make it. We feel bad that we weren't there to help her because they all would have lived. The 3 that did make it are doing great and they're bigger than I thought they would be! So if you know anyone wanting a Great Dane, they'll be available in about 8 weeks!

The proud mama.
(And no, she doesn't have a crazy eye, it's just the flash from the camera. :)

Joke

Here's the story to go along with the picture: At least 10 years ago around Christmas, Candice, Kelli, and I were at the dollar store and we happened upon these $1 versions of a Barbie doll, only they were called Sunny dolls. One of us had the idea to buy lots of them and give them to Mason for Christmas. So we wrapped them in all different shapes and sizes of boxes to disguise them and put them under the tree. To say he was irate would be an understatement. But it was funny to us. So every year since then Mason has gotten at least one Sunny doll. Even on his mission. It's become tradition. This year, however, we decided to retire the tradition since we're the ones that enjoy it and Mason, not so much. But we wanted to go out with a bang and just knew a plain old dollar store Sunny doll wouldn't cut it.I kinda feel bad because by the look on his face, he thinks he's gettin' something good.

Now what could be better than a life-size Sunny doll?

And oh yeah, it wasn't me. It was Candice.

Christmas

Our attempt at a family Christmas picture

We started our Christmas early in Cottonwood with Derek's family. We usually go the weekend before Christmas every year. There's always yummy food and treats and lots of craziness because there are so many grandkids!

Clara trying out her new Dora ball.

Do you think Clara liked her princess shoes?

Janie's favorite present!

Clay with his cool cars.

The grandkids (and Parker) at Granny and Grampa's on Christmas morning.

We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with friends and family! I'm sad I didn't take more pictures. I'm terrible at remembering to bring the camera places! That should be a new year's resolution-take more pictures!
