Collections

Having my garage sale has put me in the decorating mood. It feels so good to clean out and re-organize! I have a lot of projects on my list and I'll post before and afters hopefully shortly, but as I was walking around my house I noticed all the things I love to collect. I think I've always loved having collections; when I was little it was seashells, stickers, and wallpaper samples. I may still have them; I'll have to try to dig them up and post pictures. So here are some of my collections:

This should be full of spoons, but my kids took them down and threw them behind my bed. I'll get them out some day. I think this is my longest standing collection so far. They're just those inexpensive souvenir spoons from gift shops, but I've gotten them from all the places I've traveled as well as gifts from family members that have visited other places. I think I have 34 as of now. I have no idea what even made me start this collection, but it's very sentimental. I love collecting!

Seashells, stickers and wallpaper samples!!! That made me laugh audibly. Such beautiful collections. Specially your salt and pepper shakers. Love them. I wish we still had our wallpaper books.

I was so jealous of your's and Candices sticker collections when we were little. The book that one of you had with the puffy stickers? I coveted it.

I like collecting things to, but none of my collections are or were as impressive as yours. I tended to like to collect weird things like rocks, sticks, bottles, bottle caps (that were usually from beer bottles, apparently), paper clips (like Bert on Sesame Street), marionettes, and such. Ya...I never got very far with any of those things.

I love your collections! It makes me want to come to your house and just look around. I love doing that, especially at your house, it makes me feel good.

YOu do have quite the collections. Funny thing, my sister also collected/collects spoons. Mine was bells. I haven't seen them in a while but I am sure they are here somewhere. I wished I lived closer and could make your garage sell, I am sure there will be lots of great stuff!

Cute stuff. I'm so sad I couldn't make your garage sell. I bet you had lots of fun stuff there. I hope it went well. I desparately need your decorating sense around when I decide to actually do some. I collect paint and wood and paper and stuff, but I don't know that anyone would appreciate those displays. I'll keep mine put away and come over and admire your collections

So sad I missed your sale. I'm sure you had lots of great stuff! I love that you collected wall paper samples as a little girl. I'm just wondering how you built up that collection. Did you sneak a little piece from each house that you visited?

Fun Fun! :) I was actually cleaning out my room...sort of..yesterday. and I came across Kelli's lunch box collection. There's a cool one Kel! :) Seriously. I have to agree with Kelli though. I also collect lame things like rocks and sea shells..and i guess dolls and stuffed animals. Random..but still fun!

Spoons are my favorite. I'm still coveting my great grandmas spoon collection who then passed it down to my grandma. Now my mom has it and maybe when she dies I'll get my hands on it.

I am not much of a collector, but Ted LOVES to collect things that fit into this theme: Too big, too fancy, no where to put! I like your collection better Ü
